One winning filmmaker will receive a prize package valued at over $20,000 to help bring their short documentary project to life.

• $5,000 cash prize, generously provided by CBC, to kickstart production

• Over $20,000 in in-kind filmmaking services, including production and post-production support

• Nine months of ongoing support from Lunenburg Doc Fest as you develop and complete your film

• The opportunity to premiere your completed short documentary at the 14th Lunenburg Doc Fest in 2027

  
  

The prize is designed to provide the winning filmmaker with both the financial support and practical resources needed to move their project from development into production and post-production. 

Alongside the cash prize and in-kind services, the winner will receive ongoing support from Lunenburg Doc Fest throughout the nine-month development and production period.
