CISF CONNECT is an engagement program led by the Canadian Independent Screen Fund to promote the screening of Canadian films and documentaries through:

Capacity Building

Offering support and resources to filmmakers, empowering them to take a more active role in the marketing and distribution of their creative content. Selected participants receive funding support and are matched with consultants to develop tailored marketing and distribution plans for their projects.

Community Engagement

Through a well-structured curriculum, the program equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to organize screenings and actively engage with audiences in various regions and communities. The program’s long-term goal is to establish a nationwide network of Film Engagement Specialists who will regularly host screenings, introducing diverse content that resonates with local audiences.
