ABOUT LUNENBURG DOC FEST
Lunenburg Doc Fest is an annual documentary film festival dedicated to showcasing compelling stories and
fostering community engagement through film. The Operations Manager plays a key role in bringing this vision to
life this September.
Position Summary
Lunenburg Doc Fest is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee the planning
and execution of festival operations. This contract role is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of all
logistical, administrative, and operational aspects of the festival, working closely with the Festival Director, staff,
and volunteers to support the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

Term: May to October
Compensation: $25/hr
Location: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia (as required)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work collaboratively with LDF Team including Festival Director and Technical Director
● Lead and manage day-to-day operational planning and execution of the festival
● Coordinate logistics including venues, scheduling, vendors and on-site operations
● Supervise and support staff and volunteers to ensure efficient workflow and clear communication
● Manage festival timelines and ensure key milestones are met
● Monitor and authorize operational expenses in alignment with the approved budget
● Address operational challenges proactively and implement solutions in a timely manner
Qualifications
● Proven experience in event or festival operations management
● Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
● Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
● Experience working with budgets, vendors, and logistics
● Familiarity with arts, film festivals, or cultural events is an asset
● Living in or near Lunenburg is an asset
